Stein is simply one of the world's best fish cooks. His USP is simplicity – something you do not find very often with top cooks. He has never been one for faddish nonsense, never gone in for dribbling what looks like snail faeces round the edge of a plate, his is simple, well-cooked food. That is not to say Rick Stein is limited by this style – he is technically brilliant – but he will not create a dish just to show off; he will use spicing to enhance a dish, rather than enhance his own cleverness.

Thanks Leigh & Jan for allowing us to share your little piece of heaven down Falmouth way. Honey Buzzard Barn is so restful, comfy and our visit was at Christmas time, so extra magical with Jan's thoughtful touch, a lovely Christmas tree and pretty lights outside.

The barn is roomy, spotlessly clean, beautifully fitted and furnished. Nothing more could be added to make our stay more perfect.

Leigh & Jan's welcome is warm and their hospitality knows no bounds.

We would recommend a relaxing break to anyone and everyone and truly hope to come by again some time soon

Bliss !

Stayed at the Honey Buzzard Barn in the well appointed rustic Barn in Mabe, Trenoweth. Four of us stayed in the Barn and chilled out in the spacious lounge diner. The Location was beautiful and a very short walk for the Dog, Beaches and Restaurants. The nightlife was great, this is definately a destination for people of all ages. There are so many restaurants, with every taste catered for you are spoilt for choice.
Honey Buzzard is a great location for a family, or a couples holiday !

Also if you like a short drive, we visited Looe via the Ferry at Fowey Just explore the area, its a beautiful enchanting area.!! Reccommend.

We have all had a great Holiday!
The Barn is Fantastic, a real Home from Home - No Complaints.
Jan and Leigh Heppell are very friendly, and nice cats (4)
Been to loads of places, favourites are Eden Project, Newquay Zoo, and Lands End.
Best Beaches are: Mawgan Porth, Porth and Portreath.
The Kids loved Ships and Castles Swimming Pool, Falmouth.
A lot of the attractions have discounted prices for afternoon / evening admissions.
Big Bonus, ASDA, 2 mins down the road, open 24 Hours for supplys .

We Really enjoyed our stay in Honey Buzzard Barn, the accommodation was really beautiful and spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was there. The location is fantastic, we immediately took advantage of the beautiful walks right outside our door.

We reccommend a visit to the nearby Lake, it is stunning. We even had a BBQ there, the boys loved the childrens play area.

There is so much to do here, its impossible to cover it all in one week, particularly loved Trebah Garden and St. Michaels Mount.

Jan and Leigh were so friendly and accommodating, this has been our best holiday yet!
P.S. We fell in love with Silver the cat. We will miss petting her :)
