Welcome to Harvey's Wharf, Falmouth's premier bar and brasserie.

Serving exquisite drinks and mouth wateringly good food, Harvey's is there to satisfy your needs whatever your taste.

Harvey's is your bar, your restaurant. We want your time with us to be relaxing, informal and luxuriously decadent.

Even better, Harvey's Wharf enjoys the most stunning views over Falmouth's beautiful Marina, allowing our guests to enjoy their fabulous food and drinks to the sounds and smells of the gently lapping sea.

Travelling to Cornwall

Getting to Cornwall is very easy. The area has good road and rail connections, if you wish you can even fly and hire a car. Below you will find an overview of the various methods together with some links to help you plan your journey.

By Car

As you travel towards the South-West, you will probably travel towards Exeter. Most of the routes to Cornwall come via Exeter. The M5 motorway ends here and becomes a dual carriageway then the A30 carries on deeper into Cornwall, much of it is dual carriageway.

Once you are into Cornwall, the A38 turns from a dual carriageway into a normal 'A' road. The A38 meets up with the A30 again once you get past Bodmin.

By Train

Cornwall is served by two of the main rail companies. First Great Western operates out of London Paddington while Virgin Trains brings travelers from Birmingham, York, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Liverpool and Glasgow. There are several suitable stations to stop at. The main station being Truro.

If you are coming to Cornwall by air or train, you will probably want to hire a car. its easy to take a taxi from the station to your destination, although this may prove costly and very limiting.

We would strongly recommend having your own transport while staying in Cornwall.

Depending on the time of year, the train can prove a costly way of reaching Cornwall. If you do decide to come this way, it is worth booking your tickets and seats well in advance. Standard fare tickets are not very economical. It may even be cheaper to fly!

By Plane

For that real holiday feeling, why not fly into Cornwall. If you plan your flights carefully, this can be an extremely cost efficent way to visit the are. The easiest airport to fly into is Newquay airport. Ryanair, Southwest Air and BA operate services into Newquay and if you book far enough in advance, there are some real bargains to be had.

There are a couple of car hire companies located at the airport. Details of these can be found below. While you are at the airport, why not investigate a day trip to the Isles of Scilly just off the coast of Cornwall. Flights operate out of the airport to the Islands and take about 25 minutes.

Southwest air also operates out of Plymouth airport as do Air Wales who fly from Cardiff, Newcastle and Liverpool.

Car Hire locations:

Newquay - Airport: Europcar and National Car Rental both have offices just outside the terminal building. Hertz also offer a service but only if you arrive via Ryanair and book the car with your flight.
